Kute Bash Records
Founded in the summer of 2006 by three friends, all working as DJs in the underground club scene of Berlin - Ricardo Domeneck, Philipp Sapp and Oliver Krueger,
the independent record label KUTE BASH RECORDS is a project linked to the collective of visual artists, performers and DJs surrounding the weekly interventions,
live acts and parties organized by the group since 2005 in the German capital.
In the spirit of collectivism and cultural intervention rather than Art, Kute Bash is interested in appropriation, the disturbance of retro-esthetics and fun with brains.
Knowing that such ideas will take different shapes within different contexts, in Germany, where the group first sprang, the interventions have meant disturbing a sterile
and retrogressive minimalism, which has become music for spines rather than thinking bodies, and spreading in-your-face poetical aggression, in the hope of bringing
down political-sexual fakery and posing.
Kute Bash is interested in proving the theory that one can think and dance at the same time.
Kute Bash wishes to be the practice of such theory.
Kute Bash is dedicated to recording the performances of such practice.
